CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO WERE ELECTED TO PARISH OFFICES LAST SUNDAY:  Dave Harrison, Senior Warden; Nicole Woods and Marilyn Cote as Vestry Members for three years, and Barbara Olsavsky for a one year term. Copies of the Annual Report are available today in the Vestibule of the Church for those who could not attend the meeting.

Those individuals who were elected as delegates to the DiocesanConvention…. The delegates (deputies) are asked to attend a"Pre-convention hearing" on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Trinity Church in Asbury Park, 7 to 9 PM.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

  • POT LUCK LUNCH - IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE 10:15 HOLY EUCHARIST
  • THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF ST. JAMES EPISCOPAL CHURCH will take place today after the 10:15 Holy Eucharist.  This is an important day in the life of the Parish and we encourage all to attend.  Reports from the Fr. Agostino, our Wardens, the Treasurer, and several Committee Chairs, as well as parish statistical information, will be presented and elections will be held for Senior Warden and two, and possibly three, vacant Vestry positions.  In addition, delegates to various Diocesan Meetings and Conferences will be selected.
  • BIBLE STUDY resumes this Tuesday at 7 PM.  Bible Study takes place each Tuesday at 7 PM except for the first Tuesday of each month.

VAN DUZER SCHOLARSHIP FUND 
Applications for the Van Duzer Fund are available from the Parish Secretary after Holy Eucharisttoday.  The application must be filed by March 1.  The scholarship is"intended for recent high school graduates entering their first year at anaccredited post-secondary institution."  Applicants will be judged onthe basis of four criteria:  Church involvement; financial need; communityinvolvement; and scholastic performance.  Each applicant must alsocomplete an essay. Information on this scholarship may be accessed at: newjersey.anglican.org
