Our Mission
We are known as the little stone church with a warm heart and proud of that. We try our best to live as Christ taught us and to welcome everyone with open arms.
We believe that God loves us, not because we deserve it, but because God is good, and we believe that we are called to respond to the love of God by loving our neighbors. We are Episcopalians, members of the Anglican Communion. We celebrate the Sacraments and believe that in the Sacraments God touches our lives. We are proud of our traditions; however, we welcome believers of any denomination to join us in the study of the Bible, in prayer, in worship, and in helping our sisters and brothers in need. We welcome all, regardless of race, national origin, age, gender, sexual identity, economic condition, or political persuasion. We respect differences. We strongly believe that each person has something to offer, and that our community is enriched by the unique gifts and experiences of its members. We study the Bible in its cultural and historical context to understand God’s message as it was delivered to the original audiences, and to learn to apply it to our lives today. We believe that religion is based on faith, not on scientific evidence. As a community of faith, we welcome doubters and questioners. We are mindful that God has created us to be reasonable beings, and expects us to use our minds. We believe that faith is a gift from God, and we know that God is close to anyone who is struggling to understand, and to integrate reason and faith. We are not perfect; in fact we are all sinners. So, if you are a fellow sinner, welcome to the club. Don’t let guilt or fear stop you. We are not judgmental, nor “holier than thou”, and have learned not to rely on our strength, but on God’s love and forgiveness. If you care to join us, you will be safe here. If you have questions about the church and its mission, or if there is any way that we can be of service to you, please call (732) 542-0818 or e-mail [email protected] Faithfully, Father Austin B.
